Tax Masters Charities

TaxMastersCharities.com is a site that contains information about Tax Masters, Patrick Cox, and some of the company’s public contributions, sponsorships, and events related more to charity than to our ability to offer tax problem help. Not unlike leaders of most successful companies, Patrick Cox recognizes the importance of giving back to the community, particularly to causes that help people in their efforts to grow and improve themselves or their skills.

Brady Ellison, Olympic Archer and Hopeful for the 2012 Games

In 2009, the company announced a one-year sponsorship of the Resident Athlete and Jr. Dream Team programs at the Arco Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA in support of US Archery. The Olympic hopefuls train under near legendary coach Kisik Lee and are working to qualify for the 2012 Olympics that will take place in London.

With the advent of Tax Masters Racing, the company has been able to contribute to charity events like the Race Against Cancer, organized and held by Auto Racing for Charity at MSR Houston. The company also ties charitable contributions into their love of racing. As lead sponsor for driver Tony Rivera and Brass Monkey Racing in their participation in the 2009 SPEED World Challenge GT race series, Cox has pledged to contribute an additional $5,000 to USA Archery every time Rivera finishes a race in the top three.

Needless to say, we’re all cheering for Tony this year, particularly the Olympic hopefuls vying for a slot on the USA Archery Team.

We would like to point out that charity doesn’t always come in the form of mass contributions, sponsorships, and acts of support like are featured on this site. We believe at Tax Masters that the most profound charitable contributions occur out of the spotlight and on a very personal level. Giving to another person can be as simple as sharing a smile and as seemingly insignificant as paying the toll for the car behind you.

We have a good example to follow in Mr. Patrick Cox. Unknown to any of us at Tax Masters, he recently endowed two separate scholarships with the Texas A&M Association of Former Students. No one would have known about this donation except that a small local paper in Palestine, Texas reported on it. You can find that article here. It is private, heart-felt donations like this that make it a pleasure to work at Tax Masters for a man like Patrick Cox. We strive to be good people first, from the way we handle our contributions to the way we pay tax to the way we run our business and assist our clients.

Employees of Tax Masters contribute to a number of causes and charities including St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Lupus Foundation of America, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, AIDS Foundation of Houston, Aggie Student Bonfire, the Association of Former Students, and numerous other charities, churches, and schools across the country.
